The Expand Compass
The Expand Compass developed from the recognition that as
applications migrated to the web and were joined by a number of
other converged IP services such as VOIP, the challenges facing
clients grew exponentially and could no longer be addressed by
router-based, or single purpose solutions.
Exacerbating this challenge is that many of these applications,
including those architected for the web, were not designed with
the wide area network in mind and in fact add tremendous
overhead to the existing network, resulting in poor performance
and compromising productivity.
